About

Hi, I'm Casey Winters, co-founder and CEO of SuperMe. SuperMe is a network for builders who want to think it through with people who’ve done it. For the people with that experience, it’s a way to let your work speak for itself, turning what you know into reputation without self-promotion. With interactive profiles, created and maintained by proven operators, we bring their experience directly into your daily workflow. Whenever you need an outside perspective, SuperMe dynamically selects the most relevant profiles to debate your specific situation in real time. Instead of a single generic summary, you see real operators weigh differing opinions, highlight personalized trade-offs, and offer constructive pushback. They get credit for what they know and build reputation, while you get the real-world context you need to make the right call. I've worked on scaling multiple startups to large technology companies as an employee and as an advisor. Before SuperMe, I was the Chief Product Officer at Eventbrite, where I led the PM, product design, research, and growth marketing teams. I helped Eventbrite navigate the pandemic and focus our strategy, becoming more product led, improving developer velocity, and making the shift to helping event creators grow their demand. I started the marketing team at Grubhub and scaled Grubhub's demand side acquisition and retention strategies. We built a city expansion playbook and compounding loops of sustainable growth with low or no CAC and strong retention. This helped drive Grubhub from 3 cities to 1,000+ and from a $1 million series A to an IPO and $7.3 billion exit. After this, I joined Pinterest and led the growth product team. I joined amid a shift from a social network to a personalized recommendations system, from social driven growth to SEO, and from U.S. only to international first. Pinterest had 40 million active users. We turned SEO into a scalable acquisition strategy, increased conversion to signups/mobile 5x, and replaced our email and notification system for scale. Pinterest now has over 400 million active users with the majority of them outside the U.S. and is valued at over $20 billion on the public market. I started my career as a marketing analyst at Apartments.com, and that helped me understand that the way online companies grow is very different from what you learn about in school. From there, I started implementing these strategies at Apartments.com and sister site Homefinder.com. Most of my career has been one lesson repeated: find the bottleneck, fix the bottleneck. Sometimes it's the org structure. Sometimes it's the data. Usually it's that nobody has done this before and they don't know where to start.

Work Experience

Co-Founder at SuperMe

Apr 2024 - Present (2y 6m)

SuperMe is on a mission to index collective human knowledge and build the most useful network on the planet.

Chief Product Officer at Eventbrite

Jun 2019 - Oct 2022 (3y 4m)

I joined the company nine months before the pandemic to lead the global product management, product design, user research, and growth marketing functions. Impeccable timing, huh? When the pandemic hit, I led the writing of the three year strategy of the company and the communication to external investors and employees. During my tenure, we launched both Eventbrite Boost, Eventbrite's suite of marketing tools, and Eventbrite Ads, both allowing event creators to reach a larger audience. These are also the first products free event creators could buy. We rebuilt the navigation of the creator product, causing double digit increases in many creator product features. During the pandemic, we built every flow creators needed to save their businesses: postponement, cancellation, refunds, etc. We rebuilt our listings and checkout experiences, a major source of tech debt, and now run experiments that have created double digit millions in incremental revenue. We dramatically improved developer velocity and improved site and app performance. We also built and scaled the growth marketing function from 100+ marketers doing unprofitable demand gen to a core team of six driving direct self-service customers and more leads to sales than they used to get from the demand gen team. I felt when the pandemic hit it was my job to get the company to the other side and in a sustainable position. While we had some dark times including negative revenue (yeah, it's possible) and a 45% layoff, Eventbrite has now been cash flow positive for five straight quarters. This was a three and a half year gig that felt more like six years, so I'm taking a break before figuring out what is next.

Interim VP Product, Marketplace at Eventbrite

Interim VP Product at Darby Smart

I’m joining the team at @X to lead Product. I am a huge believer in @SpaceX's mission to extend human consciousness to the stars, so it’s time to make shitposting multiplanetary. X is the best way to find out what’s happening in the world right now and talk about it. The team has been working tirelessly to make X a better place and product for the people who love it, and many have noticed the recent momentum. My goal is to help accelerate that momentum for our community, new users, and businesses globally by continuing to make this product beautiful and useful. We are twenty years in, but it truly feels like X’s next chapter will be our greatest. I look forward to your ideas and feedback; I’m sure the replies will be measured and magnanimous.

Resy going scorched earth on anyone using agents to book reservations. They get away with it right now when it's all small startups. But soon one of the big agent platforms is going to force the issue. And I'm not sure Resy's going to be able to stomach banning millions

Today, we're announcing that Sundial has been acquired by @Meta!  Chandra Narayanan and I are joining along with some other incredible members of our team.  Nearly six years ago, Chandra and I started Sundial with two core beliefs: 1) better decisions come from using data well, and 2) great things come from working on hard problems with people you like. Sundial automated away many of the obstacles involved in getting to meaningful analysis (Cleaning data! Creating semantic layers! Writing SQL! Storytelling!), and we were proud to support some of the fastest-growing AI companies from OpenAI to Gamma. We started before the AI wave and rebuilt ourselves to be AI-native. We raised our first round when interest rates were near zero, and our Series A when they were the highest in two decades. We watched customers hyperscale and then close shop, new grads grow into leaders, and software development change completely.  Entrepreneurship has been my dream since college, when I first took a class on start-ups (shoutout Mayfield Fellows!). I wish I'd been brave enough sooner because there’s no better way to learn how the world works and who you really are than betting on yourself to launch a business. Meta is my former home and where I learned product and design. It's also one of the most analytically rigorous places on the planet. So many of Sundial's values came from there: questioning assumptions, diagnosing with data, owning the user’s experience. I'm thrilled to bring what we've learned to the place where it all started and continue our mission of improving the quality and velocity of business decisions with people we like. To Team Sundial past and present, THANK YOU thank you thank you. You created that special feeling within our team, and I bask in the memories of having walked those lush miles and eaten those breakfast dosas with you. To our investors and supporters especially @dpatil, David Fischer + the whole 01A advisors team, @mvernal, @sequoia: how did we get so lucky to have your counsel and support? And to my beloved @mikesego and kiddos: I could not have made it without you.   These have been some of the hardest, most humbling, and most alive years of my life. I hope I'm wiser for it and will have many chances to pay it forward!  https://www.axios.com/2026/10/23/meta-ai-data-platform-sundial

In the marketplace era, aggregating supply was king. In an agentic era, supply is unconstrained and only bounded by what an agent can find. Marketplaces trying to hold on to reliance on eyeballs for ads (ie Amazon) or where demand creates overwhelming spam (Resy) is a messy middle time leading to an era where embracing agentic demand creates massive opportunity (ie Shopify.)
