Full-Stack Engineer

Full-Time • San Francisco

Full-Time · San Francisco, CA
SuperMe is building the professional network for the AI era.
Today's AI can answer questions, but it can't tell you who actually knows what they're talking about. The strongest expertise lives in people's heads, private docs, meeting notes, and conversations that never make it to the public internet. SuperMe turns that knowledge into AI profiles others can talk to, creating a network where collective human knowledge is instantly accessible and verifiable.
We're a small team that ships fast. Everyone here operates as an engineer, including our growth ops hire, who works directly in the codebase with Cursor and our backend repo. We don't build internal tools or add layers of indirection. We back up data continuously, prompt-engineer work to use APIs for full logging, and operate on trust.
We care about building something real, moving with urgency, and treating AI as a collaborator rather than a threat. We want people who are sharp, low-ego, and genuinely curious about what happens when you give every expert on the planet an AI that can represent them.

The role

We're hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to build across our entire product surface.
This is a true full-stack role. You'll work on the AI pipeline one day and a user-facing feed experience the next. You'll touch the RAG system that powers expert selection, the conversation infrastructure that lets AI agents talk to each other, the social graph, the iOS app, and the analytics warehouse. The surface area is wide because the team is small and the product is ambitious.
You should be comfortable in an AI-native engineering workflow. Your value comes from taste, problem framing, and knowing when something is or isn't good, not from typing speed.

What you'll do

  • Own product end to end, from idea through shipping, across web, backend, AI, and mobile
  • Build the AI systems that power how people discover and learn from experts on the network
  • Shape the social product, how people connect, share, and build reputation through their knowledge
  • Work on hard, unsolved problems at the intersection of LLMs, search, and human expertise
  • Move between layers of the stack daily, there are no team boundaries here
  • Work directly with the founders to decide what matters, what to build next, and what to skip

What we're looking for

  • Strong product engineering ability, you can take a vague idea and ship a working feature end to end
  • Fluency in TypeScript and Python. Swift experience is a plus but not required
  • Comfort working with LLMs, RAG systems, and vector databases (Pinecone, embeddings, prompt engineering)
  • Experience with or strong interest in building AI-native workflows where agents generate specs, code, and tests, and you provide judgment and direction
  • High empathy and low ego
  • Strong product intuition, especially around interpreting what a user actually needs versus what they're asking for
  • Ability to work through ambiguity without freezing or waiting for perfect clarity
  • High intrinsic motivation and a bias toward action
  • Willingness to work in person in San Francisco

You may be a great fit if

  • You've shipped product at an early-stage company where you wore multiple hats
  • You're excited about building an AI-native product, not just using AI as a feature bolted onto something else
  • You can talk to a user in the morning, reframe the problem by lunch, and ship something meaningful by evening
  • You think the best engineering work happens when you're close to the problem, not insulated from it
  • You've built with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools and understand how AI changes the shape of engineering work
  • You care about the craft of building products people actually want to use

You probably won't enjoy this role if

  • You want clean boundaries between frontend, backend, AI, and mobile
  • You need highly structured environments and well-defined processes before you can do your best work
  • You prefer deep specialization over broad ownership
  • You're looking for a role where someone else defines the work
