I updated an old email triage workflow for a client using Jev this weekend. It decides which emails to forward to her customers. Jev now runs alongside GPT-4o mini, which still controls forwarding. TypeSafe's coding-agent skill helped me get it set up. I inspected disagreements, adjusted the rules, and deployed the live trial. Jev costs about a quarter as much per call, though the dollar savings are small. Jev specializes in decisions software can use directly. TypeSafe's workflow tests show substantial speed gains from that approach. Faster, cheaper decisions open up room for more responsive applications. I'm surprised by the direction this evolution is taking. And by my continued capacity to be surprised.
