VC just told me that I am uninvestable without a warm intro. Traction is not enough. X: what do you think of such investment criteria?

Solopreneurship / indie hacking is the worst way to start a career and make money. The problem with running a small business is that you can’t experiment (because you have no money), you don’t know how to build companies properly, and you’ve never seen from the inside how successful businesses actually grow. So you start believing everything you see on X: - that founder content drives sales (rather than cold outreach on LinkedIn). - that UGC videos made with a phone and a VPN can make you $100k/month (rather than paid ads or boring SEO). - that one-off feature launch videos with millions of views and PR generate sales (when their real long-term goal is to attract investors, partners, and employees). And so on. You can learn all of this either by working for a company (ideally on the business side, in marketing or operations) or by spending VC money. Everything else is a very long road that often leads to making very little money.
